it doesnt matter what computer it is it depends on your hardrive. wich is your ram is depended most. windows vista takes up a crap load of ram. so it would run, the there like a 70% chance of your computer to crash. you should put windows xp, vista is gay

play your game simms 3,so far you are above the max requirements
i would recommend windows vista 64 bit for better graphics

Sounds a lot like the HP laptop I got a few years ago, minus vista and the graphics card.
What the person above said about Vista slowing down on ram is true. It’s best to ask the shop if you can get Windows XP put on instead, yes it’s older but it doesn’t need as much power to run so it frees up your computer to play the game better. I’m willing to bet the Sims 3 will also play on XP, your computer will run faster so XP really is your best bet
If you really want Vista, I would ask the shop to put extra ram modules inside for you so you would end up with 4GB ram (4096mb) or even 6GB or even max it out at 8GB if you have the money. I would also ask for the 64 bit version of Vista too
That laptop should easily last you a good 5 years with no worries
